Introduction to the Transcription Window

I had several requests to talk about the Transcription Window, so this screencast will serve as an introduction to give you some ideas.  Specifically I describe how to use the Transcription window to take initial notes about your video clips.  This should help you come up with some additional codes for your code window.   I will continue to explore the transcription window over the next few posts.

  1. Tara….excellent use of the transcription window. I am investigating using Voice to text tools in the Mac to do actual transcription of spoken words.

  2. Some Studiocode users add a second transcription column to their transcription windows to keep notes distinct from each other. A good example is to use the original transcription column for actual transcription. But use the second column for field or collaboration notes.

To add a new column just click on the add column button on the transcription tool bar. Then change the type of that column to transcription.
