About the Author
My name is Tara Kaczorowski and I am a Ph.D. student at the University at Buffalo where I study Special Education. I am currently funded by a leadership grant through the Office of Special Education Programs entitled: Preparing Leaders for the Digital Age. As a part of my program, I am preparing to leverage technology to educate and assess future teachers as well as to conduct educational research. My primary area of research is the use of digital technologies and to improve the educational outcomes of students with disabilities in inclusive settings.
In conjunction with my doctoral program, I have teamed up the staff at Sportstec/StudioCode Group to explore the uses of their powerful video coding software in the ever increasingly data-driven field of Education. Over the next bunch of months I will utilize StudioCode and StudioCode Apollo (the iPad version of StudioCode) to explore their uses in three areas related to education: research analysis, teacher evaluation, and student composition. I will use this blog to report my experiences with the software and findings in hopes to inform other educators and possible users of the software.
